I love the use of "scare porn" for Christians in your analogies here. It's something that hasn't really been said, at least out loud. After a while people catch on. There's a cult of RFID creepshow out there. There's a macabre fascination that draws the religious zealotry of Angel v. Demon in RFID bashing that's almost LARP worthy. We're talking comic book level nerddom of high high strange here. We've experimented with "what the kids want", gratifying some of the interests occasionally by posting video with nauseatingly disjointed logic, but never as analysis. Is it intellectually beneficial, not necessarily. Not everyone stops by for the Creature Feature of the week in our link theater either. That's why there's an idealogical extraction of Chip and national ID system. We try to keep the men and the boys separated. RFID is not always One Mainframe. When it is, we flag it. In the case of healthcare, we've complained about the database registry state being a great big tax sponsored honeypot. What's particularly troubling is that if you have ANY implant performed the government's going to want to 1) keep a tab 2) get a budget to keep the tab going. Which means if Jennifer Anniston gets "breast augmentation technology" in the future Obamacare is going to want to know. That's still an invasive overreach of the new healthcare State, but it's not the Marilyn Manson of Obamacare that RFID represents. So people lay prone the RFID attachment so the invasiveness of the devices and the policies gets the reputation they really do deserve. It's brazen politicization, I agree, but I'm not in charge of the "scare porn" constituency. We just show a creature feature now and then to try to keep them happy.
Beat The Chiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14039385802156627817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7523905577988256012.post-36280353975815101952013-01-09T20:02:53.299-08:002013-01-09T20:02:53.299-08:00@ Dave Williams

I would think $1000.00 a minute would be fair.
If it's imbedded in your body then perhaps a 5 million dollar installation fee and maybe $5000 a minute...
Put it in writing and be certain that you have MANY witnesses to the refusal. There are plenty of technology start ups and Silicon Valley businesses which don't require RFID badges. The ones that do, workers understand there is commercial agreement. There are legal contracts but it's not a binding mandate of the State. Furthermore, college attendance is based on private funding models. If you don't go, you fail as an adult. If Hernandez produces enough capital, she chooses the school she attends. From there the alma mater may or may not attempt the same ID process. The model being used at John Jay is reckless, coercive and poorly calculated for longterm progress. Government mandates the structures of what children are taught today. The bell systems still used in schools today are based on factory worker grooming (post industrial). Our society has changed so drastically that government sponsored education is embedded with top down philosophy, eugenics, discredits to critical thinking and a pipeline to jails. This is the "alma mater" practice- the parent away from home, or paternal Statism. The benefits any child receives and the quality of their education is based on their personal penchant for discipline, desire to learn and incentive to make progress in society. Immigration doesn't have a damn thing to do with it. A six year old child being is not illegal. The State functioning as a criminal, dehumanizing entity who reduces the life of that six year old to such a base caging squalor that her parents, forced to migrate to sustain a life outside of indigenous means -deprived of the benefit personal property and equitable commerce, tripped on the lines of US immigration. It is the government with a renown reputation for choosing the sledgehammer as a fly swatter. Whose fault is that? If you fell for the eugenics line you were force fed in your government education you will believe it is the child's fault for being a class or race inferior, unapproved of by the State. If you fell for the Statist line that you were taught in government sponsored school you may believe it is the government's role to parent and educate such a child (i.e. which government shall educated the six year old). I believe none of the above. I believe 6 year old children should be allowed to be 6 year olds. The State should have no business with them for being or doing 6 year old things - like travelling with their parents.Beat The Chiphttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14039385802156627817noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7523905577988256012.post-77118787087854981812012-07-13T12:49:25.679-07:002012-07-13T12:49:25.679-07:00This is so sad, but it is something allowed by the...This is so sad, but it is something allowed by the government to have come to this place because of having allowed the parents to bring those children across the border or having the mother come across the border just in time to have a baby. The only error that people have when they consider these types of things okay is that they totally misunderstand human nature and the state of things today. And that's pretty much the whole issue.

At the core here is control and trust.
