Obama is threatening to veto this police state standing army legislation. I am skeptical that he will, but am willing to be pleasantly surprised.
For the past couple of years, I’ve been working at the State level to stop REAL ID, which turned the driver’s license into a biometric ID card. Tennessee piddled around with some non-binding resolutions and let the feds ram rod it through the Dept. of Safety and Homeland Security. When I tried to get a State Senator to talk about this and a global data base being built on American citizens, he said this was “too dry”. When I admonished one of Tennessee’s federal Senators for supporting indefinite detention, his staffer took offense to me calling a prominent Republican Boss Hog, yet didn’t say anything about me pointing out that the Senator was committing treason. Oh boy, I am too dry and I hurt people’s feelings.:::MORE HERE:::
The only peaceful options that I have left, absent Divine Intervention, are to keep exposing this nonsense and rebuking politicians for doing nothing about it. If you have effective methods of stopping the police state, please share them.
"As Senator Dianne Feinstein put it, "Congress is essentially authorizing the indefinite imprisonment of American citizens, without charge" if the bill passes as it's currently written."
