Texas DPS Decides in Favor of RFID Chips in Licenses

According to an ACLU Texas State Policy Director, Texas decided to incorporate the use of radio frequency ID chips in licenses at the last Texas Dept. of Public Safety meeting roughly over a week ago.

I have not reached anyone at Texas DPS for an official comment on the matter.

However - as a public consolation prize you can attend the next 5-11 Campaign Committee Meeting.

The 4th Branch Pushes Back Against Big Media

As we have observed public affairs bottom-feeder-cum-muckraker, Scott McClellan, turn a dime and the tides on George Bush and Co., we are watching a revolution taking place in the 4th Branch of the Government or The American Media.  One of the benefits of being castigated by the Bush administration as a "liberal blogger" is the new label of trustworthiness in news.

The media as we know it has been routinely muzzled for the last 10 years.  That's why "liberal bloggers" and the Internet have become the go-to-guys for reliable public news and views.   While I am glad to be a part of an alternative media movement, we have a long way to go.

BeatTheChip.org along with TruthOut.org is proud to republish this ballsy editorial link on the new level of pushback American journalists in the trenches are delivering to the Rupert Murdochs and Global Elitist tools who want to wreck the beauty of living for anyone who isn't them.

c/o Robert W. McChesney and John Nichols, The Nation
"On a Thursday in mid-May, The Senate did something that would have been unimaginable a decade ago.  Led by Democrat Byron Dorgan, the senators- Democrats and Republicans, liberals and conseratives - gave Rupert Murdoch and his fellow media moguls the sort of slap that masters of the universe don't expect from mere mortals on Capitol Hill. "

If anyone is interested there is a National Conference for Media Reform going on in Minneapolis, that is a pretty big deal.  If I had both the time and money in the right place I would go myself. ::NMCR CONFERENCE::

If anyone is interested in sponsoring my travel, room and board and conference registration, I can be reached at : beatthechip@gmail.com - because I DO WANNA GO.
